 Under-the-Tree Classes

Where Dreams Begin Under the Open Sky

In the remote villages of West Champaran, where formal schools are a distant dream, a lot of children grow up without access to basic education. They are full of curiosity, potential, and dreams—but without classrooms, teachers, or resources, these dreams often fade into silence.

At Healstation Foundation, we believe every child deserves the chance to learn, grow, and imagine a brighter future. Through our Under-the-Tree Classes, we bring the joy of learning to children who have no other way to access education. Under the shade of a tree, surrounded by nature, we create spaces where hope is nurtured, and dreams take flight.

 How We Do It

 Bringing Classrooms to Villages

 - We conduct free classes in the open, using natural surroundings as a space for creativity and inspiration.
   - From basic literacy and numeracy to life skills and values, our curriculum is designed to meet the needs of children in tribal communities.

Local Teachers, Familiar Faces

 - We recruit and train local youth as community educators, creating a sense of trust and relatability for the children.
   - These teachers understand the culture, language, and unique challenges of their students.

Engaging and Creative Learning Methods

  - Using songs, stories, and games, we make learning a joyful experience for children who have never sat in a classroom.
   - Storytelling sessions, role-plays, and art workshops help children explore their creativity and build confidence.

Breaking Barriers

 - We work with parents to help them see the value of education, especially for their daughters.
   - By bringing schools to their doorsteps, we ensure that no child is left behind due to distance or cultural restrictions.

The Need is Real

In the villages we work

A major group of children have never stepped inside a classroom.

Many families prioritize labor over learning, with children starting work at a young age.

Girls face even greater barriers, as education is often seen as unnecessary for them.

 Stories That Inspire

Each child carries a story of resilience, courage, and hope.

Rohit’s First Alphabet: Rohit, 9, had never held a pencil before. Today, he writes his name with pride and dreams of becoming a teacher to help others like him.

Stories That Inspire

Each child carries a story of resilience, courage, and hope.

Meera’s Fight to Learn: Meera, 12, wasn’t allowed to attend school because she was a girl. After joining our under-the-tree classes, she convinced her parents to let her continue learning.

 A Message from Our Teacher
"Education is the foundation of a brighter future. By teaching a child to read, write, and dream, we are not just changing one life—we are transforming an entire community. Together, we can ensure that no child is denied the gift of learning."
